Want proof? Researchers at Bangor University in the United Kingdom photographed women before and after they applied makeup. Study participants who evaluated the photos thought the women were most attractive with a natural look.

And when we posed the topic to our Men’s Health Facebook fans, more than 250 commenters said they were overwhelmingly smitten with an unadorned face.

Make no mistake: Women are beautiful with makeup, too. We love them all, and support whatever beauty regimes make them feel like their best self.
