Helmut Kohl, the physically imposing German chancellor whose reunification of a nation divided by the Cold War put Germany at the heart of a united Europe, died Friday at his home in Ludwigshafen. He was 87.

Thameem Fatheema Sharmila died “after being tied to a chair, poured oil and set on fire by her abusive husband.”
Another victim among millions, abused by a Muslim man who thinks it is his right to marry a child, own her as property, misuse her at will — even kill her — and be protected by his religion:
As the article states below: “Sharmila was both a victim of her husband but also a victim of the Muslim Marriage and Divorce Act (MMDA) and the Constitution,” under which she has no rights.
The crisis of abuse of girls and women in the name of Islam continues globally, while Western apologists and Islamic supremacists scream “Islamophobia” whenever such issues are highlighted. Unfortunately, silence only enables the human rights violations of Islamic supremacists to proliferate.

India prepares to break a record.
International Yoga Day on June 21 is expected to see a record participation with nearly 60,000 people performing in unison in a quest for the Guinness record. Daily yoga practitioners from the network of yoga schools in the city did not turn up for the practice as they perform the yogic exercises regularly, but will constitute the core during the main event on June 21.Yoga’s history
Yoga’s history has many places of obscurity and uncertainty due to its oral transmission of sacred texts and the secretive nature of its teachings. The early writings on yoga were transcribed on fragile palm leaves that were easily damaged, destroyed or lost. The development of yoga can be traced back to over 5,000 years ago, but some researchers think that yoga may be up to 10,000 years old old. Yoga’s long rich history can be divided into four main periods of innovation, practice and development.

Major Characteristics of Public Opinion
It is quite difficult to define Public Opinion because different scholars define it differently. Some define it as the opinion of all the people some others say it is an opinion of leaders, while still others describe it as a majority opinion. But these views do not represent truth.
1. Aggregate of views which men hold regarding matters that affect the community." However, such as aggregate must have for its basis the welfare of the community and only then can it be recognized and respected as public opinion.
2. In the words of Dr. Beni Prasad, "Opinion may be regarded as truly public opinion when it is motivated by regard for the welfare of the whole of society."
3. According to Carol, "In its common use Public Opinion refers to the composite reaction of the general public."
4. Lowell defines Public Opinion,: "In order that opinion may be public, majority is not enough and unanimity is not required, but the opinion must be such that while the minorities may not share it but they feel bound by conviction and not by fear to accept it."
In simple words we can say that public opinion is neither the opinion of all nor it is the majority opinion. It is an opinion which is generally held by all and its purpose is to highlight the welfare of all. It is a consensus opinion which enjoys the support of a very large majority of people. It is even not opposed by the minorities as it reflects a concern for the welfare of all.
